Journal ArticleDOI
Ultrafast Librational Dynamics of the Hydrated Electron
TL;DR: In this paper, aqueous electron with 15 fs excitation pulses was used to experiment with wave packet dynamics, attributed to an underdamped solvent motion of about $850 \mathrm{cm}{}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$.
Journal ArticleDOI
Strong-field plasmonic electron acceleration with few-cycle, phase-stabilized laser pulses
Péter Rácz,S. E. Irvine,M. Lenner,Aleksandr V. Mitrofanov,Andrius Baltuška,Abdulhakem Y. Elezzabi,Péter Dombi +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, surface plasmon enhanced electron acceleration with few-cycle, carrier-envelope phase (CEP) stabilized laser pulses was investigated and it was shown that signatures of the phase stabilized optical waveform driving the individual electron trajectories are washed out in the electron spectra.
Journal ArticleDOI
Early-Time Dynamics of the Photoexcited Hydrated Electron
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the early relaxation dynamics of the equilibrated hydrated electron within the first 200 fs upon photoexcitation using photon echo techniques and showed that even for extremely short pulse durations, the signals obtained in photon echo spectroscopy can be described in the conventional way, provided care is taken of the spectral filtering effect and experimental beam arrangement.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multi-mJ, 200-fs, cw-pumped, cryogenically cooled, Yb,Na:CaF2 amplifier.
Audrius Pugžlys,Giedrius Andriukaitis,Andrius Baltuška,Lin Su,Jiancai Xu,Hui Li,R.X. Li,W. J. Lai,Poh Boon Phua,Andrius Marcinkevicius,Martin E. Fermann,L. Giniūnas,Romualdas Danielius,Skirmantas Alisauskas +13 more
TL;DR: Using a novel Yb-doped Yb3+,Na+:CaF2 crystal cooled in a closed loop to 130 K, a chirped pulse regenerative laser amplifier is demonstrated delivering the energy of up to 3 mJ at a repetition rate of 1 kHz and an average output power of 6 W at 20 kHz.
Journal ArticleDOI
Subcycle control of electron-electron correlation in double ionization.
Li Zhang,Xinhua Xie,Stefan Roither,Yueming Zhou,Yueming Zhou,Peixiang Lu,Peixiang Lu,Daniil Kartashov,Markus Schöffler,D. Shafir,Paul B. Corkum,Andrius Baltuška,André Staudte,Markus Kitzler +13 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the two-electron emission dynamics in nonsequential double ionization can be controlled by tuning the subcycle shape of the electric field of the OTC pulses.
