Journal ArticleDOI

Anterior segment imaging: Fourier-domain optical coherence tomography versus time-domain optical coherence tomography.

TL;DR: Fourier‐domain OCT provided accurate anterior eye segment measurements that agreed with those obtained with time‐ domains OCT, and on morphologic analysis, time‐ domain OCT had lower resolution; however, all anterior chamber structures were visible on 1 image.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efficacy, durability, and safety of intravitreal faricimab up to every 16 weeks for neovascular age-related macular degeneration (TENAYA and LUCERNE): two randomised, double-masked, phase 3, non-inferiority trials

Jeffrey S. Heier, +307 more
- 01 Jan 2022 -
TL;DR: Visual benefits with faricimab given at up to 16-week intervals demonstrates its potential to meaningfully extend the time between treatments with sustained efficacy, thereby reducing treatment burden in patients with nAMD.
Journal Article

Involvement of genetic factors in the response to a variable-dosing ranibizumab treatment regimen for age-related macular degeneration.

TL;DR: Visual acuity did not improve during the study in patients homozygous for ARMS2 69S, despite a decrease in CSRT, and multiple regression analysis revealed a significant impact of 69S on the change in BCVA.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anterior segment optical coherence tomography in eye injuries

TL;DR: AS OCT is a very valuable tool in ophthalmic departments dealing with ocular trauma, for early diagnosis and for monitoring treatment progress, and was useful for determining whether a lamellar or penetrating technique should be applied in patients that qualified for corneal transplantation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Morphological study of the antennal sensilla in Gerromorpha (Insecta: Hemiptera: Heteroptera)

TL;DR: Several subtypes of sensilla are described, differentiated by number, location and type of sensillum characteristic for each examined taxon, providing new data about the morphology and distribution of the antennal sensilla in Gerromorpha.
