Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of substrate nitridation temperature on epitaxial alignment of GaN nanowires to Si(111) substrate.
A. Wierzbicka,Zbigniew R. Zytkiewicz,Sławomir Kret,Jolanta Borysiuk,Piotr Dłużewski,M. Sobanska,K. Klosek,Anna Reszka,G. Tchutchulashvili,A Cabaj,E. Lusakowska +10 more
TL;DR: An arrangement of self-assembled GaN nanowires grown by plasma-assisted molecular beam epitaxy on a Si(111) substrate is studied as a function of the temperature at which the substrate is nitridized before GaN growth to show a much larger influence of the substrate nitridation process on the in-plane arrangement of NWs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nanopowders of chromium doped TiO2 for gas sensors
B. Lyson-Sypien,A. Czapla,M. Lubecka,P. Gwizdz,Krystyna Schneider,Katarzyna Zakrzewska,Katarzyna A. Michalow,Thomas Graule,Anna Reszka,Mieczyslaw Rekas,Agnieszka Lacz,Marta Radecka +11 more
TL;DR: The mass loss of nanopowders upon heating, as determined from its temperature profile in thermogravimetry, is correlated with the specific surface area (SSA) obtained from BET measurements as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Observation of topological crystalline insulator surface states on (111)-oriented Pb1-xSnxSe films
Craig M. Polley,Piotr Dziawa,Anna Reszka,Andrzej Szczerbakow,R. Minikayev,Jaroslaw Z. Domagala,Shiva Safaei,Perla Kacman,Ryszard Buczko,Johan Adell,M. H. Berntsen,B. M. Wojek,Oscar Tjernberg,B. J. Kowalski,Tomasz Story,Thiagarajan Balasubramanian +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper, angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy measurements of the surface states on in-situ grown (111) oriented films of Pb1-xSnxSe, a three-dimensional topological crystalline insulator, were presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sensitization of TiO2/SnO2 nanocomposites for gas detection
TL;DR: In this paper, a nanocomposite of 50% % TiO2/50% SnO2 showed the highest response in interaction with hydrogen over the entire range of operating temperatures from 225°C to 400°C.
Journal ArticleDOI
Magnetic Fe doped ZnO nanofibers obtained by electrospinning
Anna Baranowska-Korczyc,Anna Reszka,Kamil Sobczak,Bożena Sikora,Piotr Dziawa,M. Aleszkiewicz,Łukasz Kłopotowski,Wojciech Paszkowicz,Piotr Dłużewski,Bogdan J. Kowalski,Tomasz Kowalewski,Maciej Sawicki,Danek Elbaum,Krzysztof Fronc +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, structural and room temperature magnetic properties of Fe doped ZnO nanofibers obtained by electrospinning followed by calcination were demonstrated, and the observed NFs, formed from crystalographically oriented, approximately 4.5 nm particles conglomerates, were approximately 200 nm in diameter.
