Repurposing of auranofin against bacterial infections: An In silico and In vitro study.
TL;DR: In vivo results have revealed that auranofin alone and in combination with standard drugs significantly decreased the bioburden in zebrafish infection model as compared to control and in vitro results showed good antibacterial activity against Gram positive and Gram negative bacterial strains.
