Journal ArticleDOI
Novel Trichoderma strains isolated from tree barks as potential biocontrol agents and biofertilizers for direct seeded rice.
Harekrushna Swain,Totan Adak,Arup Mukherjee,Prasun K. Mukherjee,Pratap Bhattacharyya,Shantiprava Behera,TB Bagchi,Rashmishree Patro,Shasmita,Ansuman Khandual,M. K. Bag,Tushar Kanti Dangar,S Lenka,Mayabini Jena +13 more
TL;DR: This study proves that Trichoderma erinaceum obtained from tree bark may be incorporated in integrated rice crop management both as biocontrol agent and biofertilizer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Seed Biopriming With Trichoderma Strains Isolated From Tree Bark Improves Plant Growth, Antioxidative Defense System in Rice and Enhance Straw Degradation Capacity.
Harekrushna Swain,Harekrushna Swain,Totan Adak,Arup Mukherjee,Sarmistha Sarangi,Pankajini Samal,Ansuman Khandual,Rupalin Jena,Pratap Bhattacharyya,Soumendra K. Naik,Sayaji T. Mehetre,Mathew S. Baite,Sunil Kumar M,N. W. Zaidi +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a unique report of the utilization of Trichoderma strains collected from even tree barks for rice plant growth, its health management, and paddy straw degradation is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stable quantitative trait locus (QTL) for sheath blight resistance from rice cultivar CR 1014
Archana Bal,Pankajini Samal,Mridul Chakraborti,Arup Mukherjee,Soham Ray,Kutubuddin A. Molla,Lambodar Behera,Rashmita Samal,Sarmistha Sarangi,Pritiranjan Sahoo,Motilal Behera,S Lenka,T. P. Muhammed Azharudheen,Ansuman Khandual,M. K. Kar +14 more
TL;DR: Nearly 27.8% reduction in relative lesion height was recorded among several near isogenic lines of Swarna-Sub1 carrying the QTL region from CR 1014, which was co-localized with qShB1 reported earlier from Oryza nivara.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparative transcriptome profiling reveals the basis of differential sheath blight disease response in tolerant and susceptible rice genotypes
Pankajini Samal,Kutubuddin A. Molla,Archana Bal,Soham Ray,Soham Ray,Harekrushna Swain,Ansuman Khandual,Pritiranjan Sahoo,Motilal Behera,Sarika Jaiswal,Asif Iquebal,Mridul Chakraborti,Lambodar Behera,M. K. Kar,Arup Mukherjee +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported the identification of a new resistant rice germplasm, CR 1014, by exploring the disease responsive differentially expressed transcriptome and comparing them with that of a susceptible variety, Swarna-Sub1.
Journal ArticleDOI
Impact of fungicides on Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn causing sheath blight disease of rice
TL;DR: Six chemicals with different concentrations were evaluated in vitro against Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn and revealed that all the fungicides were capable for significant inhibition of the fungus in ‘in vitro’ and the disease in ’in vivo’ conditions.
