Journal ArticleDOI
Near-infrared to ultra-violet frequency conversion in chalcogenide metasurfaces.
Jiannan Gao,Maria Antonietta Vincenti,Jesse A. Frantz,Anthony Clabeau,Xingdu Qiao,Liang Feng,Michael Scalora,Natalia M. Litchinitser +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a phase locking mechanism between the pump and the inhomogeneous portion of the third harmonic signal is proposed to enable near-infrared to ultraviolet frequency conversion in an As2S3-based metasurface.
Journal ArticleDOI
All-optical tunable wavelength conversion in opaque nonlinear nanostructures
Jian Xun Gao,Maria Antonietta Vincenti,Jesse A. Frantz,Anthony Clabeau,Xingdu Qiao,Liang Feng,Michael Scalora,Natalia M. Litchinitser +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a femtosecond-scale wavelength tunable, subwavelength-thick nanostructure that performs efficient wavelength conversion from the infrared to the ultraviolet was demonstrated.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Arsenic selenide dielectric metasurfaces
Jesse A. Frantz,Jason D. Myers,Robel Y. Bekele,Anthony Clabeau,Vinh Q. Nguyen,Collin McClain,Natalia M. Litchinitser,Jasbinder S. Sanghera +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the As2Se3 films degrade significantly under ambient conditions in the presence of light and deposition of a thin (~10 nm) Al2O3 passivation layer, deposited via atomic layer deposition, together with preventing exposure to below-band gap light inhibits degradation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermal tuning of arsenic selenide glass thin films and devices
Jesse A. Frantz,Anthony Clabeau,Jason D. Myers,Robel Y. Bekele,Vinh Q. Nguyen,Jasbinder S. Sanghera +5 more
TL;DR: This paper shows results for refractive index as a function of annealing time and temperature and proposes a model to describe this behavior based on bond rearrangement.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Thermally tuned resonances in chalcogenide glass dielectric metasurfaces
Jesse A. Frantz,Robel Y. Bekele,Anthony Clabeau,Jason D. Myers,Vinh Q. Nguyen,Natalia M. Litchinitser,Jasbinder S. Sanghera +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a method of tuning a dielectric metastructure's resonance by thermally adjusting the refractive index of a chalcogenide glass (ChG) material.
