Near-infrared to ultra-violet frequency conversion in chalcogenide metasurfaces.
Jiannan Gao,Maria Antonietta Vincenti,Jesse A. Frantz,Anthony Clabeau,Xingdu Qiao,Liang Feng,Michael Scalora,Natalia M. Litchinitser +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a phase locking mechanism between the pump and the inhomogeneous portion of the third harmonic signal is proposed to enable near-infrared to ultraviolet frequency conversion in an As2S3-based metasurface.
Journal ArticleDOI
Design approach for photonic quasicrystals to enable multiple nonlinear interactions.
TL;DR: In this paper, a new design method for nonlinear photonic quasicrystals, consisting of a combination of one nonlinear material and one linear material that can simultaneously fulfill phase-matching conditions for a desired number of nonlinear optical interactions, was proposed.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Accessing the Ultra-Violet with Chalcogenide-based Nonlinear Metasurfaces
Maria Antonietta Vincenti,Jiannan Gao,Jesse A. Frantz,Natalia M. Litchinitser,Michael Scalora +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a chalcogenide-based metasurface in the transparency regime was used to boost third harmonic generation in the ultra-violet frequency range.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Chalcogenide-Based Photonic Quasicrystals for Novel Phase Matching
Jiannan Gao,Wiktor Walasik,Mikhail I. Shalaev,Jesse A. Frantz,Jason D. Myers,Robel Y. Bekele,Jasbinder S. Sanghera,Natalia M. Litchinitser +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a chalcogenide-based photonic quasicrystals enabling simultaneous phase matching of an arbitrary number of nonlinear optical processes in a single engineered nanostructure.
