Control of Robot Manipulators in Joint Space

TL;DR: In this paper, a case study of the Pelican prototype robot is presented, where the authors present a Lyapunov theory for the dynamics of direct-current motors and demonstrate the properties of the dynamic model.
Journal ArticleDOI

On global uniform asymptotic stability of nonlinear time-varying systems in cascade

TL;DR: In this article, the stability analysis problem of non-autonomous nonlinear systems in cascade was studied and sufficient conditions were given to guarantee that a globally uniformly stable (GUS) nonlinear time-varying (NLTV) system remains GUS when it is perturbed by the output of a globally asymptotically stable (GUAS) NLTV system, under the assumption that the perturbing signal is integrable.
Journal ArticleDOI

Relaxed persistency of excitation for uniform asymptotic stability

TL;DR: A relaxed definition of persistency of excitation is proposed and it is used to establish uniform global asymptotic stability (UGAS) for a large class of nonlinear, time-varying systems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Uniform exponential stability of linear time-varying systems: revisited

TL;DR: This paper re-establishes known results for linear time-varying systems via new techniques while stressing the importance of imposing that the formulated sufficient and necessary conditions must hold uniformly in the parameter.
