North American Ice Sheet build-up during the last glacial cycle, 115–21 kyr
Johan Kleman,Krister N. Jansson,Hernán De Angelis,Arjen P. Stroeven,Clas Hättestrand,Göran Alm,Neil F. Glasser +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the evolution of the Laurentide and Cordilleran ice sheets during their build-up phase towards the last glacial maximum (LGM) between 115 and 21 kyr has been investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
The build-up, configuration, and dynamical sensitivity of the Eurasian ice-sheet complex to Late Weichselian climatic and oceanic forcing
TL;DR: The research in this article is part of the Centre for Arctic Gas Hydrate, Environment and Climate, and was supported by the Research Council of Norway through its Centres of Excellence funding scheme (grant======223259), the PetroMaks project “Glaciations in the Barents Sea area======(GlaciBar)” (grants 200672), and a Stockholm Uni SUCLIM consortium============€ 1.5€ 1€ 1 € 1.1€ 2€ 3 € 1€ 3€ 1

Glacial geomorphological mapping: A review of approaches and frameworks for best practice
Benjamin M. P. Chandler,Harold Lovell,Clare M. Boston,Sven Lukas,Iestyn D. Barr,Ívar Örn Benediktsson,Douglas I. Benn,Chris D. Clark,Christopher M. Darvill,David J.A. Evans,Marek Ewertowski,David Loibl,Martin Margold,Jan-Christoph Otto,David H. Roberts,Chris R. Stokes,Robert D. Storrar,Arjen P. Stroeven +17 more
TL;DR: A review and assessment of the various glacial geomorphological methods and datasets currently available, with a focus on their applicability in particular glacial settings is provided in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI
A relict landscape in the centre of Fennoscandian glaciation: Geomorphological evidence of minimal Quaternary glacial erosion
TL;DR: The Parkajoki area in northeastern Sweden is situated near the central area of Fennoscandian glaciation, and the area is dominated by landforms induced by subaerial weathering and erosion processes, such as well-developed tors and associated saprolites, boulder fields, and boulder depressions.
Journal ArticleDOI
On the reconstruction of palaeo-ice sheets: Recent advances and future challenges
Chris R. Stokes,Lev Tarasov,Robin Blomdin,Robin Blomdin,Thomas M. Cronin,Timothy G. Fisher,Richard Gyllencreutz,Clas Hättestrand,Jakob Heyman,Richard C. A. Hindmarsh,Anna L.C. Piper,Frank Preusser,Hans Renssen,David H. Roberts,Didier M. Roche,Didier M. Roche,Francky Saint-Ange,Arjen P. Stroeven,James T. Teller +29 more
TL;DR: Evaluating recent developments in the methods used to reconstruct ice sheets and outline some key challenges that remain, with an emphasis on how future work might integrate terrestrial and marine evidence together with numerical modelling.
