Delayed childbearing and female ageing impair assisted reproductive technology outcome in survivors of male haematological cancers.
Paolo Emanuele Levi-Setti,L. Negri,Annamaria Baggiani,Emanuela Morenghi,Elena Albani,Valentina Parini,Luca Cafaro,Carola Maria Conca Dioguardi,A. Cesana,Antonella Smeraldi,Armando Santoro +10 more
TL;DR: Delayed childbearing and female ageing affect ICSI outcome in couples where the male is a survivor of haematological cancer, and this topic should be discussed when counselling male cancer patients about fertility preservation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Real-World Data of Nivolumab in Classical Hodgkin Lymphoma: Results from the Italian Expanded Access Programme
Armando Santoro,Francesco D'Alo',Pier Luigi Zinzani,Luigi Rigacci,Francesco Angrilli,Paolo Corradini,Francesco Lanza,Giorgina Specchia,Maria Cantonetti,Nicola Cascavilla,Caterina Patti,Brunangelo Falini,Felicetto Ferrara,Barbara Botto,Catello Califano,Livio Trentin,Marco Gobbi,Anna Vanazzi,Diana Giannarelli,Antonello Pinto +19 more
TL;DR: Data confirm results from pivotal trial demonstrating that nivolumab is a safe and effective therapy in this pts population, regardless of number and type of prior therapies, and support that PD1-blockade can overcome resistance to prior conventional treatments.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phase II trial of alternating intravenous and oral vinorelbine in combination with cisplatin in advanced non-small cell lung cancer
Elisabetta Campagnoli,I. Garassino,Armando Santoro,Fabio De Vincenzo,Paolo Andrea Zucali,Giovanni Luca Ceresoli,Fabio Romano Lutman,Marco Alloisio,Hector Soto Parra,Raffaele Cavina +9 more
TL;DR: This schedule of cisplatin and vinorelbine treatment showed a good toxicity profile and an efficacy similar to other standard regimens, and could be administered safely at home on day 5, without checking of blood cell count.
Journal ArticleDOI
Short Schedule of Cisplatin and Vinorelbine: A Dose-Finding Study in Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer
Paolo Andrea Zucali,Hector Soto Parra,Raffaele Cavina,Elisabetta Campagnoli,F. Latteri,Fabio De Vincenzo,Giovanni Luca Ceresoli,Maria Fazio,Marco Alloisio,Armando Santoro +9 more
TL;DR: A dose-finding study of a new cisplatin/vinorelbine schedule was done to increase activity of the combination, and improve compliance of non-small-cell lung cancer patients; its acceptable toxicity profile and manageability may justify its use in clinical practice.
Journal ArticleDOI
Endocrine Adjuvant Therapy might Impair Cardiac Autonomic Regulation in Breast Cancer Survivors
Daniela Lucini,Mara Malacarne,Gianluigi Oggionni,Wolfgang Gatzmeier,Armando Santoro,Massimo Pagani +5 more
TL;DR: Endocrine therapy is associated with impaired autonomic regulation and autoregressive spectral analysis of heart rate variability may be an affordable and convenient tool to furnish, in a clinical setting, early markers of cardiovascular dysregulation, which may possibly contribute to an overall increased cardiovascular risk.
