Evaluation of ground loss ratio with moving trajectories induced in double-O-tube (DOT) tunnelling

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of moving trajectories on ground loss ratio (GRL) due to the double-O-tube (DOT) tunnelling method was investigated, and the authors found that the influence was due to pitching, yaw and yaw trajectories.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spent coffee grounds as a non-structural embankment fill material: engineering and environmental considerations

TL;DR: In this article, an extensive suite of engineering and environmental tests were undertaken on spent coffee grounds obtained from several popular cafes in Melbourne, Australia to evaluate their properties and potential use as a non-structural fill material in road embankments.
Journal ArticleDOI

Unit weight, strength and microstructure of a water treatment sludge–fly ash lightweight cellular geopolymer

TL;DR: In this article, a water treatment sludge-fly ash lightweight cellular geopolymer (WTS-FA LCG) is investigated in this research with the intention to develop an alternative green construction and building material, without using Portland cement as a cementing agent.
Journal ArticleDOI

Impact of field conditions on the strength development of a geopolymer stabilized marine clay

TL;DR: In this paper, a soft marine clay was stabilized with fly-ash (FA) and slag (S) based geopolymers, and the effect of a number of preparation and curing factors including water content and temperature variation, wetting-drying cycles and mixing time and method were evaluated.
