Journal ArticleDOI

Wetting-drying cycles durability of cement stabilised marginal lateritic soil/melamine debris blends for pavement applications

TL;DR: In this paper, a waste from melamine manufacturing is identified as melamine debris (MD), a waste that is generated by melamine manufacturers in Thailand to meet local and international demands.
Journal ArticleDOI

Geotechnical laboratory testing of biosolids

TL;DR: In this paper, the geotechnical engineering characteristics of biosolids at the Western Treatment Plant (WTP) in Melbourne, Australia were investigated and presented in this paper, including consolidation, triaxial shear strength, hydraulic conductivity, compaction, California bearing ratio, Atterberg limits, particle density and particle size distribution.
Journal Article

Undrained shear strength of the singapore marine clay at changi from in-situ tests

TL;DR: In-situ tests such as the piezocone penetration test (CPTU), the flat dilatometer (DMT) and the self-boring pressure meter test (SBPT) provide an alternative to the traditional field vane tests (FVT) for in-sit evaluation of undrained shear strength (Su) profiles in foundation clay at sites underlain by recent deposits as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Performance improvement of asphalt concretes using steel slag as a replacement material

TL;DR: The use of strong and durable steel slag (S) as an aggregate material in asphalting is often the cause of distress to the pavement structure as mentioned in this paper, and the use of S as an aggregated material is a good choice for road paving.
Journal ArticleDOI

Environmental and economic viability of Alkali Activated Material (AAM) comprising slag, fly ash and spent coffee ground

TL;DR: In this paper, a concept of reusing spent coffee ground (CG) as a construction material was presented, through creating a CG-filled Alkali Activated Material (AAM) with industrial wastes such as fly ash (FA).
