Journal ArticleDOI
TLR3- and Th2 Cytokine-Dependent Production of Thymic Stromal Lymphopoietin in Human Airway Epithelial Cells
TL;DR: The results suggest that the expression of TSLP is induced in airway epithelial cells by stimulation with the TLR3 ligand and Th2 cytokines and that this response is suppressed by glucocorticoid treatment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Work Engagement in Japan: Validation of the Japanese Version of the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale
Akihito Shimazu,Wilmar B. Schaufeli,S. Kosugi,A. Suzuki,H. Nashiwa,Atsushi Kato,M. Sakamoto,H. Irimajiri,S. Amano,K. Hirohata,R. Goto,K. Kitaoka-Higashiguchi +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors validate the Japanese version of the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES-J) using a multiple-group method and a one-factor model that assumes that all engagement items load on one single factor.
Journal ArticleDOI
Epithelium: At the interface of innate and adaptive immune responses
TL;DR: Recent studies that bear on the molecular and cellular mechanisms by which epithelial cells help to shape the responses of dendritic cells, T cells, and B cells and inflammatory cell recruitment in the context of human disease are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Beyond inflammation: airway epithelial cells are at the interface of innate and adaptive immunity.
Atsushi Kato,Robert P. Schleimer +1 more
TL;DR: Improved understanding of epithelial immune and inflammatory responses will hopefully suggest new strategies for therapeutic intervention.
Journal ArticleDOI
A spin–orbital-entangled quantum liquid on a honeycomb lattice
Kentaro Kitagawa,T. Takayama,Yosuke Matsumoto,Atsushi Kato,Ryo Takano,Yasuki Kishimoto,Sebastian Bette,Robert E. Dinnebier,George Jackeli,George Jackeli,Hidenori Takagi,Hidenori Takagi,Hidenori Takagi +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that H3LiIr2O6 is a topological quantum spin liquid with pseudospin-1/2 moments in the 5d-electron honeycomb compound.
