Journal ArticleDOI

The effect of vitamin C administration on monosodium glutamate induced liver injury. An experimental study.

TL;DR: The data obtained from this study showed the improvements in the pathological architecture of the liver after treatment with vitamin C, pointing to the ameliorative effect of vitamin C against MSG induced liver injury.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cadmium chloride induces non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in rats by stimulating miR-34a/SIRT1/FXR/p53 axis.

TL;DR: CdCl2 induced NAFLD by increasing the transcription of miR-34a which in turn downregulates SIRT1 at the translational level, which completely prevented all these effects and reduced hepatic fat accumulations in the livers of rats.
Journal ArticleDOI

Immunohistochemical expressions of uPA and its receptor uPAR and their prognostic significant in urinary bladder carcinoma.

TL;DR: It is suggested that uPAR is an independent additional prognostic factor in patients with transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder and has a significant impact on the survival for these patients.
Journal ArticleDOI

Implications of CEA and p53 overexpression in the poor prognosis of colorectal cancer.

TL;DR: The use of more than one tumor marker may successfully aid in the prediction of colorectal cancer prognosis as indicated by the results of the relationship between serum CEA, p53 expression, and DNA index to the different clinicopathological characteristics of CRC patients.
