Bioremediation of textile wastewater and successive biodiesel production using microalgae

TL;DR: This study has reviewed the status of TWW as potential source of water and nutrients, role of different algal species in the bioremediation of TwW, different cultivation systems, harvesting and biodiesel production methods, and suggests future research and development challenges for coupled textile wastewater treatment and microalgal biodieselproduction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Integrating bioremediation of textile wastewater with biodiesel production using microalgae (Chlorella vulgaris)

TL;DR: In this paper, Chlorella vulgaris (C. vulgaris) was employed for the bioremediation of textile wastewater (TWW) and biodiesel production, and more than 80% nitrogen and phosphorous removal were achieved.
Journal ArticleDOI

Macroalgae and coal-based biochar as a sustainable bioresource reuse for treatment of textile wastewater

TL;DR: In this article, the potential of macroalgae and coal-based biochar (control) to remove methylene blue from simulated wastewater as well as real textile wastewater was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

A novel method for the fabrication of silver nanowires-based highly electro-conductive membrane with antifouling property for efficient microalgae harvesting

TL;DR: In this paper, a new method of fabricating highly electroconductive membranes, namely electroplating, was developed and its product performance was examined via microalgae harvesting, and the electroplated membrane (C-AgNWs) found to exhibit surpassingly enhanced electrical conductivity (3.9'×'104'S/cm) and a satisfactory level of mechanical stability under prolonged filtration.
