Observation of Rotational Band in the Odd-Z Transfermium Nucleus 251/101Md
A Chatillon,Ch. Theisen,E. Bouchez,P. A. Butler,Emyr Clement,O. Dorvaux,S. Eeckhaudt,B. J. P. Gall,Andreas Görgen,T. Grahn,Paul Greenlees,R.-D. Herzberg,F. P. Hessberger,A. Hürstel,G. D. Scholey,Juha Uusitalo,J. N. Wilson,Paul Bonche,P.-H. Heenen +33 more
TL;DR: A rotational band has been unambiguously observed in an odd-proton transfermium nucleus for the first time as mentioned in this paper, which leads to the interpretation that the rotational bands are built on the [521]1/2{sup -} Nilsson state.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lifetime measurements of superdeformed bands in 148-149Gd and 152Dy: Evidence for structure-dependent elongations.
H. Savajols,A. Korichi,D. Ward,Duncan Appelbe,G. C. Ball,C. W. Beausang,F.A. Beck,T Byrski,D. Curien,P. J. Dagnall,G deFrance,D. Disdier,G. Duchêne,S. Erturk,C Finck,Stephane Flibotte,B. J. P. Smith,O. Stezowski,J. Styczen,C Theisen,P.J. Twin,J. P. Vivien,J. C. Waddington,Kai Zuber,J Ragnarsson +39 more
TL;DR: Two of the excited Gd bands and the Dy-152 yrast band, which have identical moments of inertia, have different elongations, supporting the picture that alignment and deformation effects cancel in identical bands.
Journal ArticleDOI
G Protein signaling modulator-3 inhibits the inflammasome activity of NLRP3.
Patrick M. Giguère,B. J. P. Gall,Ejiofor A.D. Ezekwe,Geneviève Laroche,Brian K. Buckley,Chahnaz Kebaier,Justin E. Wilson,Jenny P.-Y. Ting,David P. Siderovski,Joseph A. Duncan +9 more
TL;DR: These findings suggest that GPSM3 acts as a direct negative regulator of NLRP3 function, linking a G protein modulator toNLRP3-dependent inflammatory diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Observation of γ vibrations and alignments built on non-ground-state configurations in Dy156
S. N. T. Majola,D. J. Hartley,L. L. Riedinger,J.F. Sharpey-Schafer,J. M. Allmond,C. W. Beausang,M. P. Carpenter,C. J. Chiara,N. Cooper,D. Curien,B. J. P. Gall,P. E. Garrett,R. V. F. Janssens,F. G. TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the structure of positive-parity bands in the Nd148(C12,4n)Dy156 reaction at 65 MeV, observing the resulting γ-ray transitions with the Gammasphere array.
