Journal ArticleDOI

Whole-genome DNA methylation patterns and complex associations with gene expression associated with anthocyanin biosynthesis in apple fruit skin

TL;DR: Genetic variation of bud sport mutants from ‘Red Delicious’ was associated with differential DNA methylation and hypomethylation of mCG and mCHG contexts in flavonoid biosynthesis pathway genes led to transcriptional activation and was conductive to anthocyanin accumulation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mulching affects photosynthetic and chlorophyll a fluorescence characteristics during stage III of peach fruit growth on the rain-fed semiarid Loess Plateau of China

TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared the soil water content of plastic film mulched ridge with furrows (PFM) and straw mulched (SM) and unmulched (clean tillage, CT) peach orchard soil on the rain-fed semiarid Loess Plateau of China during the final stage of rapid fruit growth (stage III) in 2011 and 2012.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of light-inducible and light-independent anthocyanins regulated by specific genes in grape 'Marselan' (V. vinifera L.).

TL;DR: The results showed that the degree of coloration of the berry skin reduced with the decrease of the light transmittance, and the veraison was postponed for 10 days in D when compared with the CK, which was regulated by different candidate structural genes involved in flavonoid biosynthesis pathway and members of MYB and bHLH transcription factors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Isolation of ovulation-inducing factors in the seminal plasma of Bactrian camel (Camelus bactrianus) by DEAE-cellulose chromatography.

TL;DR: The results clearly demonstrated the existence of LH-releasing associated fractions in the seminal plasma that appears to be separated by DEAE-cellulose matrix and the isolated L3 fraction might be the ovulation-inducing factor or one of its components.
Journal ArticleDOI

Elevated CO 2 concentration promotes photosynthesis of grape ( Vitis vinifera L. cv. ‘Pinot noir’) plantlet in vitro by regulating RbcS and Rca revealed by proteomic and transcriptomic profiles

TL;DR: The eCO2 triggered the RbcS and Rca up-regulated, thus promoting photosynthesis and then advancing transformation of grape plantlets from heterotrophic to autotrophic, and it is suggested that the change in the amount of its corresponding protein is regulated at their translation levels by e CO2.
