Natural History of Perceived Food Hypersensitivity and IgE Sensitisation to Food Allergens in a Cohort of Adults
Antonios Patelis,Maria Gunnbjörnsdottir,Magnus P. Borres,Peter Burney,Thorarinn Gislason,Kjell Torén,Bertil Forsberg,Kjell Alving,Andrei Malinovschi,Christer Janson +9 more
TL;DR: The prevalence of food hypersensitivity remained unchanged while the prevalence of IgE sensitisation to food allergens decreased in adults over a 9-year follow-up period.
Journal ArticleDOI
The relation of airway obstruction to asthma, chronic rhinosinusitis and age: results from a population survey of adults
D. Obaseki,D. Obaseki,James Potts,Guy Joos,Jesper Bælum,Tari Haahtela,Matti Ahlström,Paolo Maria Matricardi,U Krämer,Mark Gjomarkaj,W. J. Fokkens,Joanna Makowska,Ana Todo-Bom,Kjell Torén,Christer Janson,SE Dahlen,Bertil Forsberg,Deborah Jarvis,Peter H. Howarth,Grzegorz Brożek,J Minov,Claus Bachert,Claus Bachert,Peter Burney +23 more
TL;DR: There is conflicting evidence on whether patients with asthma experience an accelerated decline in lung function with age, and the association between postbronchodilator lung function, asthma, chronic rhinosinusitis, and atopy with age is examined.
Journal ArticleDOI
Potential health impacts of changes in air pollution exposure associated with moving traffic into a road tunnel
TL;DR: A planned 21 km bypass in Stockholm is expected to reduce ambient air exposure to traffic emissions, but same time tunnel users could be exposed to high concentrations of pollutants, resulting in fewer premature deaths as ambient concentrations are reduced.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ozone and heat-related mortality in Europe in 2050 significantly affected by changes in climate, population and greenhouse gas emission
Hans Orru,Hans Orru,Christofer Åström,Camilla Andersson,Tanel Tamm,Kristie L. Ebi,Bertil Forsberg +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, climate change is expected to increase to extreme temperatures and lead to more intense formation of near-surface ozone, which can cause heat stress and ozone is a highly oxidative po...
Journal ArticleDOI
Fixed airflow obstruction relates to eosinophil activation in asthmatics.
Ida Mogensen,Kjell Alving,Sven-Erik Dahlén,Anna James,Bertil Forsberg,Junya Ono,Shoichiro Ohta,Per Venge,Magnus P. Borres,Kenji Izuhara,Christer Janson,Andrei Malinovschi +11 more
TL;DR: It is hypothesized that the presence of type 2 inflammation relates to fixed‐AO, and the relation to inflammation nor which asthma biomarkers can be clinically useful are elucidated.
