Since 1995 the new chemistry of multicomponent reactions and their libraries, including their heterocyclic chemistry
TL;DR: A growing number of products, including many heterocycles, can be prepared by the one-pot MultiComponent Reactions (MCRs) just by mixing three or more educts, and in many cases practically quantitative yields of pure products can be obtained as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Single-Chain Polyprenyl Phosphates Form “Primitive” Membranes
Gianluca Pozzi,Véronique Birault,Birgit Werner,Olivier Dannenmuller,Yoichi Nakatani,Guy Ourisson,Susumu Terakawa +6 more
Journal ArticleDOI
New carborane-based compounds for boron neutron capture therapy: binding and toxicity of ANC-1, DAC-1 and B-Et-11-OMe in cultured human glioma and mouse melanoma cells.
Peter Lindström,Pär Olsson,Jonas Malmqvist,Jean Pettersson,Peter Lemmen,Birgit Werner,Stefan Sjöberg,Åke Olin,Jörgen Carlsson +8 more
TL;DR: The toxicity and binding of the three new carborane based compounds, DAC, B-Et-11-OMe and BSH, and the previously developed compound di-sodium undecahydro-mercapto-closo-dodecarborate were analyzed with cultured human glioma cells and mouse melanoma cells as biological models.
Journal ArticleDOI
Five-Membered Cyclic Phosphorylating Reagents and Related Compounds
TL;DR: In this article, the conceptual and mechanistic basis for five-membered cyclic phosphorylating reagents and related compounds is discussed, as well as a selection of typical results.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of rac-1-(9-o-carboranyl)nonyl-2-methyl-glycero-3-phosphocholine (B-Et-11-OMe), a potential boron carrier for Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT)
Peter Lemmen,Birgit Werner +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, carborane is introduced into the readily assembled glycerol ether moiety and the phosphocholine headgroup is introduced by 2-chloro-3-methyl-1,3,2-λ3-oxazaphospholane using a phosphoamidite strategy and subsequent ring opening under alkylating conditions.
