Journal ArticleDOI

Human influence on the temporal dynamics and spatial distribution of forest biomass carbon in China.

TL;DR: It is suggested that human impacts, including forestation, deforestation, population density, and economic development, have played significant roles in determining the temporal and spatial variations of FBC in the anthropogenic era.
Journal ArticleDOI

Greenhouse gas emissions and net carbon sequestration of the Beijing-Tianjin Sand Source Control Project in China

TL;DR: A methodology for carbon accounting and net mitigation estimation for national ecological restoration projects in China (CANM-EP) was developed, and this method simultaneously considered carbon sequestration, on-site greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from ecosystem management, off-site GHG emissions and other changes in the ecosystem GHG budget.
Journal ArticleDOI

The influence of disturbance and conservation management on the greenhouse gas budgets of China’s forests

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors assessed the GHG budgets of disturbances and conservation management in China from 2000 to 2014, and determined the main emissions factors, analyzed the effective mitigation strategies, and clarified the offsets or promotion of these activities in relation to the Chinese forest biomass C sink.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of elevated atmospheric O3 concentrations on early and late leaf growth and elemental contents of Acer truncatum Bung under mild drought

TL;DR: Late leaf had less responses to elevated O3 and drought stresses than early leaves which need to be considered separately, indicating drought could mitigate the adverse efforts from O3 effects.
