Journal ArticleDOI

Computational study of some triazole derivatives (un- and protonated forms) and their copper complexes in corrosion inhibition process

TL;DR: In this article, three triazoles compounds used as corrosion inhibitors for copper in acidic medium, namely: 1,2,4 triazole (TR), 3-amino 1, 2, 4 triazolamide (3 ATR), and 3-5-diamino (3, 5 DATR), have been studied theoretically in order to investigate the correlation between its molecular reactivity indicators and the corresponding inhibition efficiency.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrochemical decolorization of Rhodamine B dye: Influence of anode material, chloride concentration and current density

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of some parameters, such as current density, initial pH (pH0), nature, concentration of electrolyte and temperature at the electrochemical oxidation was investigated evaluating the decolorization and the chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal at optimal conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chitosan polymer as a green corrosion inhibitor for copper in sulfide-containing synthetic seawater.

TL;DR: The influence of chitosan on the copper corrosion in sulfide polluted synthetic seawater (SSW) containing 20 ppm of sulfide has been investigated and SEM-EDS studies confirm the absence of the deterioration products on copper surface.
Journal ArticleDOI

Theoretical evaluation of some α-amino acids for corrosion inhibition of copper in acidic medium: DFT calculations, Monte Carlo simulations and QSPR studies

TL;DR: In this paper, the quantitative structure-property relationship (QSPR) models of the inhibition efficiency of seventeen α-amino acids for copper in acidic medium to their calculated reactivity indicators were developed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of zirconium-modified Merlinoite from fly ash for enhanced removal of phosphate in aqueous medium: Experimental studies supported by Monte Carlo/SA simulations

TL;DR: In this article, the feasibility of using zirconium-modified Merlinoite (Zr@Merl) obtained from Mexican coal fly ash (CFA) for the removal of phosphate ions from aqueous solutions was reported.
