Journal ArticleDOI
An Economic Evaluation of the Impact, Cost, and Medicare Policy Implications of Chronic Nonhealing Wounds.
Samuel R. Nussbaum,Marissa J. Carter,Caroline E. Fife,Caroline E. Fife,Joan DaVanzo,Randall Haught,Marcia Nusgart,Donna Cartwright +7 more
TL;DR: Medicare expenditures related to wound care are far greater than previously recognized, with care occurring largely in outpatient settings, which could be used to develop more appropriate quality measures and reimbursement models.
Journal ArticleDOI
Near-Infrared Fluorescence Imaging in Humans with Indocyanine Green: A Review and Update.
Milton V. Marshall,John C. Rasmussen,I-Chih Tan,Melissa B. Aldrich,Kristen E. Adams,Xuejuan Wang,Caroline E. Fife,Erik A. Maus,Latisha A. Smith,Eva M. Sevick-Muraca +9 more
TL;DR: The basics of clinical NIR fluorescence imaging are reviewed, the literature on clinical application of investigational devices using ICG fluorescent contrast is surveyed, and an update of non-invasive dynamic lymphatic imaging conducted with the FDPM device is provided.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chronic Wound Repair and Healing in Older Adults: Current Status and Future Research

TL;DR: The Association of Specialty Professors held a workshop, summarized in this article, to explore the current state of knowledge and research challenges, engage investigators across disciplines, and identify research questions to guide future study of age‐associated changes in chronic wound healing.

Journal ArticleDOI
Lymphatic Imaging in Humans with Near-Infrared Fluorescence
TL;DR: The context for a number of emerging studies that use near-infrared fluorescence imaging to non-invasively assess tumor draining lymphatic basins in cancer patients, intraoperatively guide resection of first draining lymph nodes, and to interrogate the difference between normal and aberrant lymphatic structure and function are set.
