TL;DR: Patients with IVF and persistently normal ECGs frequently have arrhythmic recurrences, but a good prognosis when treated with an ICD is found.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chemokine redundancy in BOS pathogenesis. A possible role also for the CC chemokines: MIP3-beta, MIP3-alpha, MDC and their specific receptors.
Federica Meloni,N. Solari,Simona Miserere,Monica Morosini,Alessandro Cascina,Catherine Klersy,Eloisa Arbustini,Carlo Pellegrini,Mario Viganò,Anna Fietta +9 more
TL;DR: Within the complexity of the chemokine network, these three CCL factors could play an additive role in the pathogenesis of the inflammatory process leading to bronchiolar fibro-obliteration.
Journal ArticleDOI
Survivin Expression in Acute Leukemias and Myelodysplastic Syndromes
Rosangela Invernizzi,Erica Travaglino,Monia Lunghi,Catherine Klersy,Paolo Bernasconi,Mario Cazzola,Edoardo Ascari +6 more
TL;DR: Its abnormal expression in bone marrow cells in AML and in MDS may play a role in promoting aberrantly increased cell viability and contribute to the altered homeostatic balance between cell growth and cell death.
Journal Article
The SYNTAX score predicts early mortality risk in the elderly with acute coronary syndrome having primary PCI.
Frank Scherff,Giuseppe Vassalli,Daniel Sürder,Antonio Mantovani,Carlo Corbacelli,Elena Pasotti,Catherine Klersy,Angelo Auricchio,Tiziano Moccetti,Giovanni Pedrazzini +9 more
TL;DR: The SXscore predicts 30-day mortality in elderly patients with acute coronary syndrome undergoing primary PCI and in patients discharged alive, the CSS predicts risk of MACCE at 1 year.
Journal ArticleDOI
Apoptosis in Relation to CD34 Antigen Expression in Normal and Myelodysplastic Bone Marrow
TL;DR: The results suggest that in myelodysplastic as well as in normal BM the apoptotic phenomenon predominantly involves the maturing cells, which seems to be mainly due to an increase in apoptosis in the differentiated cell population.
