Induction of a Futile Embden-Meyerhof-Parnas Pathway in Deinococcus radiodurans by Mn: Possible Role of the Pentose Phosphate Pathway in Cell Survival
TL;DR: In this article, statistical models were used to predict the effects of tryptone, glucose, yeast extract (TGY) and Mn on biomass formation of the highly radioresistant bacterium Deinococcus radiodurans.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reprogramming Antagonizes the Oncogenicity of HOXA13-Long Noncoding RNA HOTTIP Axis in Gastric Cancer Cells.
Deng-Chyang Wu,Sophie S.W. Wang,Chung-Jung Liu,Kenly Wuputra,Kohsuke Kato,Yen-Liang Lee,Ying-Chu Lin,Ming-Ho Tsai,Chia-Chen Ku,Wen-Hsin Lin,Shin-Wei Wang,Shotaro Kishikawa,Michiya Noguchi,Chu‐Chieh Wu,Yi-Ting Chen,Chee-Yin Chai,Chen-Lung Steve Lin,Kung-Kai Kuo,Ya-Han Yang,Hiroyuki Miyoshi,Yukio Nakamura,Shigeo Saito,Kyosuke Nagata,Chang-Shen Lin,Chang-Shen Lin,Kazunari K. Yokoyama +25 more
TL;DR: Findings indicate that the recruitment of HOXA13–HOTTIP and HOxA13‐HOTAIR to different sites in the BMP7 promoter is crucial for the oncogenic fate of human gastric cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
A functional promoter polymorphism in interleukin-10 gene influences susceptibility to endometriosis.
TL;DR: This study suggests that the functional promoter polymorphism at IL-10 may play a role in the development of endometriosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sensitive and specific detection of strains of Japanese encephalitis virus using a one-step TaqMan RT-PCR technique
Jau Ling Huang,Jau Ling Huang,Hui Tsu Lin,Yu Ming Wang,Ming Hui Weng,Da Der Ji,Ming Der Kuo,Huan Wun Liu,Chang-Shen Lin +8 more
TL;DR: The JEV TaqMan assay demonstrated greater sensitivity and specificity than traditional RT‐PCR methods as has been previously reported, and could be used to replace or complement time‐consuming viral‐culture methods, thus achieving more rapid, sensitive, and highly specific identification of JEV infection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Oncogenic function of the homeobox A13-long noncoding RNA HOTTIP-insulin growth factor-binding protein 3 axis in human gastric cancer.
Sophie S.W. Wang,Kenly Wuputra,Chung Jung Liu,Yin Chu Lin,Yi-Ting Chen,Chee Yin Chai,Chen Lung Steve Lin,Kung-Kai Kuo,Ming Ho Tsai,Shin Wei Wang,Ker Kong Chen,Hiroyuki Miyoshi,Yukio Nakamura,Shigeo Saito,Tadashi Hanafusa,Deng-Chyang Wu,Chang-Shen Lin,Chang-Shen Lin,Kazunari K. Yokoyama +18 more
TL;DR: The HoxA13–HOTTIP–IGFBP-3 cascade is critical for the carcinogenic characteristics of CS12 cells and was found in the gastric cancer data of The Cancer Genome Atlas.
