Infrared Pumping Processes for SiO Masers

TL;DR: In this article, two possible pumping mechanisms are proposed for such masers, one involves the near coincidence between the frequencies of the 1-0 (RO) and 3-2 (R18) transitions in Si(28)O(16), and the other requires emission by SiO and reabsorption without the necessity for an accidental frequency coincidence.
DissertationDOI

Concentration of the Heavy Isotope of Carbon and Measurement of its Nuclear Spin

TL;DR: In this article, a Hertz diffusion was used to extract heavy carbon from a large volume of gas containing 6 or 7% heavy carbon, and this gas was reintroduced into the system for a final concentration.

The dust surrounding w hydrae

TL;DR: In this paper, two different models for the star and dust shells are used to fit the data, one for recent data taken over short time spans and another for the combined data of 15 years.
