TL;DR: Interspecific differences in the photosynthetic responses to temperature were similar to those for growth, suggesting that photosynthesis may determine the temperature range over which Lomentaria tetrasporophytes can grow.

TL;DR: In 2019, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E), and the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research (FFAR) convened approximately 50 stakeholders representing research and production of seaweeds, animal feeds, dairy cattle, and beef and dairy foods to discuss challenges and opportunities associated with the use of seaweed-based ingredients to reduce enteric methane emissions.

TL;DR: Overall, P. amplissima was the best Northeast US candidate, taking up ammonium at faster rates than other local species at 10 and 15 °C, two temperatures that fall within the expected range of industrial conditions for finfish operations.
