PbrmiR397a regulates lignification during stone cell development in pear fruit
Cheng Xue,Jia-Long Yao,Mengfan Qin,Mingyue Zhang,Andrew C. Allan,Andrew C. Allan,De-Fu Wang,Jun Wu +7 more
TL;DR: It is shown that microRNA (miR) miR397a regulates fruit cell lignification by inhibiting laccase (LAC) genes that encode key lignin biosynthesis enzymes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genome-Wide Identification, Evolution and Functional Divergence of MYB Transcription Factors in Chinese White Pear (Pyrus bretschneideri)
TL;DR: The phylogenetic, evolution and expression analyses of the MYB gene family in Chinese white pear establish a solid foundation for future comprehensive functional analysis of Pbr MYB genes.
Journal ArticleDOI
PbrMYB169 positively regulates lignification of stone cells in pear fruit.
Cheng Xue,Jia-Long Yao,Xue Yongsong,Guan-Qing Su,Liang Wang,Li-Kun Lin,Andrew C. Allan,Andrew C. Allan,Shaoling Zhang,Jun Wu +9 more
TL;DR: It is shown that PbrMYB169, an R2R3 MYB transcription factor, of Pyrus bretschneideri positively regulates lignification of stone cells in pear fruit and advances the understanding of the regulation of lignin biosynthesis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Distinct transcriptome profiles reveal gene expression patterns during fruit development and maturation in five main cultivated species of pear ( Pyrus L. )
TL;DR: The transcriptomes of five pear cultivars were sequenced at seven key fruit developmental stages, from fruit setting to maturation and fruit senescence after harvesting, and co-expression analysis revealed that several ethylene synthesis genes and polyphenoloxidase-related genes interacted with each other directly, and an indirect relationship was reflected between ethylenehesis genes and ethylene response genes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Proteome analysis of pear reveals key genes associated with fruit development and quality
TL;DR: This study is the first to reveal protein and associated mRNA variations in pear during fruit development and quality conformation, and identify key genes and proteins helpful for future functional genomics studies, and provides gene resources for improvement of pear quality.
