Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal Transport in Quasi-1D van der Waals Crystal Ta2Pd3Se8 Nanowires: Size and Length Dependence.

TL;DR: The results reveal that partial ballistic phonon transport can persist over 13 μm at room temperature along the molecular chain direction, the longest experimentally observed ballistic transport distance with observable effects on thermal conductivity so far.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electric-Field-Controlled Thermal Switch in Ferroelectric Materials Using First-Principles Calculations and Domain-Wall Engineering

TL;DR: In this paper, the thermal conductivity of PbTiO was studied as a function of electric field and the results emphasize the need for large-domain samples and lower temperatures to have the best chance at large voltage-controlled thermal switching in this class of materials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Distinct Signatures of Electron–Phonon Coupling Observed in the Lattice Thermal Conductivity of NbSe3 Nanowires

TL;DR: In this paper, the role of electron-phonon (e-ph) interactions in lattice thermal transport has been investigated, and it has been shown that e-ph scattering can be a determinant factor in thermal transport in NbSe3 nanowires.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electron contributions to the heat conduction across Au/graphene/Au interfaces

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured the thermal conductance across Au/graphene/Au and Au/hydrogenated graphene(H-Graphene)/Au interfaces using the time domain thermoreflectance (TDTR) technique.
