Journal ArticleDOI
Incorporation of BMP-2 nanoparticles on the surface of a 3D-printed hydroxyapatite scaffold using an ε-polycaprolactone polymer emulsion coating method for bone tissue engineering.
TL;DR: The coating method using PCL and NPs emulsion solutions was useful not only to incorporate BMP-2/NPs onto the surface of the scaffold, but also to improve the compressive strength, which enhanced bone regeneration.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hyaluronic acid conjugated superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticle for cancer diagnosis and hyperthermia therapy.
Reju George Thomas,Myeong Ju Moon,Hyegyeong Lee,Arathyram Ramachandra Kurup Sasikala,Cheol Sang Kim,In-Kyu Park,Yong Yeon Jeong +6 more
TL;DR: Haluronic acid (HA) coated SPIONs were targeted specifically to the CD44, and the hyperthermia effect of HA-SPions and HA-PEG10-SPIONs was found to be significant for future studies.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Multifunctional Zinc Oxide/Poly(Lactic Acid) Nanocomposite Layer Coated on Magnesium Alloys for Controlled Degradation and Antibacterial Function.
Hamouda M. Mousa,Hamouda M. Mousa,Abdalla Abdal-hay,Abdalla Abdal-hay,Michal Bartnikowski,Ibrahim M.A. Mohamed,Ibrahim M.A. Mohamed,Ahmed S. Yasin,Saso Ivanovski,Chan Hee Park,Cheol Sang Kim +10 more
TL;DR: The results indicated that the incorporation of ZnO NPs at various concentrations affords a dramatic control over surface topography and degradation rates under in vitro and in vivo environmental conditions when compared to the uncoated Mg alloy control.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electrospun zwitterionic nanofibers with in situ decelerated epithelialization property for non-adherent and easy removable wound dressing application
Afeesh Rajan Unnithan,Amin Ghavami Nejad,Arathyram Ramachandra Kurup Sasikala,Reju George Thomas,Yong Yeon Jeong,Priya Murugesan,Saeed Nasseri,Dongmei Wu,Chan Hee Park,Cheol Sang Kim +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, a novel zwitterionic poly (carboxybetaine-co-methyl methacrylate) (CBMA) copolymer based nanomembranes using the electrospinning technique for wound dressing application.
Journal ArticleDOI
Composite PCL/HA/simvastatin electrospun nanofiber coating on biodegradable Mg alloy for orthopedic implant application
Abdelrahman I. Rezk,Hamouda M. Mousa,Hamouda M. Mousa,Joshua Lee,Chan Hee Park,Cheol Sang Kim +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, a bifunctional composite coating composed of polycaprolactone and synthesized hydroxyapatite nanoparticles (HA-NPs) loaded with simvastatin was applied on the AZ31 alloy via electrospinning technique.
