Journal ArticleDOI

Photodegradation kinetics of formaldehyde using light sources of UVA, UVC and UVLED in the presence of composed silver titanium oxide photocatalyst.

TL;DR: The feasible and potential use of UVLED in photocatalysis was showed and the UVLED can save a lot of energy in comparison with the traditional UV lamps.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of Burn-off and Activation Temperature on Preparation of Activated Carbon from Corn Cob Agrowaste by CO2 and Steam

TL;DR: It is feasible to produce high-quality microporous activated carbon from corn cob agrowaste using N( 2) carbonization followed by physical activation with CO(2) or steam.
Journal ArticleDOI

Adsorption of naphthalene on zeolite from aqueous solution.

TL;DR: The adsorption equilibrium of naphthalene on zeolite from water-butanol solution, which is a surfactant-enriched scrubbing liquid, was successfully evaluated by Langmuir, Freundlich, and linear isotherms and the pseudo-second-order equation successfully predicted the adsorptive process.
Journal ArticleDOI

On the thermal treatment of plastic mixtures of MSW: Pyrolysis kinetics

TL;DR: In this article, the pyrolysis history of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) in the experimental conditions of this investigation consisted of two distinct stages with four reactions, which can be also expressed by an overall rate equation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Economic Cost Analysis of Biodiesel Production: Case in Soybean Oil†

TL;DR: The economic costs of three biodiesel plants with capacities of 8000, 30,000, and 100 000 tons year−1 were analyzed and assessed in this article, where the plants employ continuous processes using an alkali catalyst and the raw material of soybean oil.
