Journal ArticleDOI

Antifibrotic Agent Pirfenidone Suppresses Proliferation of Human Pancreatic Cancer Cells by Inducing G0/G1 Cell Cycle Arrest.

TL;DR: The results demonstrated that the antifibrotic agent PFD might have antiproliferative effects on PCCs by inducing G0/G1 cell cycle arrest, and suggests that PFD may target not only fibroblasts but also P CCs in the tumor microenvironment of pancreatic cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Heterogeneous induction of an invasive phenotype in prostate cancer cells by coculturing with patient-derived fibroblasts.

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of 10 different patient-derived fibroblast lines on the 3D morphogenesis of prostate cancer cells growing on a viscous substrate in vitro were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cilia‐Mediated Insulin/Akt and ST2/JNK Signaling Pathways Regulate the Recovery of Muscle Injury

TL;DR: In this paper , the effect of trichoplein (TCHP), a ciliary regulator, induces ciliary elongation on fibro/adipogenic progenitors (FAPs) after injury, which promotes muscle regeneration while inhibiting adipogenesis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Development of “Mathematical Technology for Cytopathology,” an Image Analysis Algorithm for Pancreatic Cancer

TL;DR: The findings indicate that MTC can help distinguish between adenocarcinoma and benign pancreatic tissues, and imply its potential for facilitating rapid progress in clinical diagnostic applications.
