Journal ArticleDOI

Decitabine demonstrates antileukemic activity in B cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia with MLL rearrangements

TL;DR: Data reveal that DEC is active in MLL-positive BCP-ALL and warrant clinical evaluation, and in vivo concomitant application of DEC and cytarabine did not enhance the antiproliferative effect compared to DEC monotherapy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chemo-immunotherapy improves long-term survival in a preclinical model of MMR-D-related cancer

TL;DR: Combined chemo-immunotherapy impairs tumor onset and growth likely attributable to modulation of immune responses, and Depleting or ‘re-educating’ immunosuppressive cell types, such as MDSC, may help moving a step closer to combat cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experience with a Therapeutic Platelet Transfusion Strategy in Acute Myeloid Leukemia: Preliminary Results of a Randomized Multicenter Study After Enrolment of 175 Patients.

TL;DR: A multicenter randomized study comparing the routine prophylactic platelet (plt) transfusions in patients with acute myeloid leukemia with a therapeutic platelet transfusion strategy, which showed that the only fatal cerebral bleeding that must be clearly attributed to the therapeutic strategy was a female pt with a pulmonary fungal infection that improved under antifungal treatment.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intramolecular Base-Free Catalytic Wittig Reaction: Synthesis of Benzoxepinones.

TL;DR: Mechanistic investigation revealed the formation of a coumarin as a side product, which was identified by 2D NMR experiments, and first results of metabolic activity tests on the prepared benzoxepinones are reported.
