Journal ArticleDOI

Anthropogenic contributions to atmospheric Hg, Pb and As accumulation recorded by peat cores from southern Greenland and Denmark dated using the 14C “bomb pulse curve”

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used 14C to precisely date samples since ca. AD 1950 using the “atmospheric bomb pulse,” the chronology of Hg accumulation in Greenland is remarkably similar to the bog in Denmark where Hg was supplied only by atmospheric deposition.
Journal ArticleDOI

Urban and semi-rural observations of carboxylic acids and carbonyls

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the sources of carboxylic acid and acetic acid in Denmark and Belgium and found strong correlations with CO and gas NOy which indicate other sources other than traffic emission.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-resolution AMS 14C dating of post bomb peat archives of atmospheric pollutants

TL;DR: In this paper, a general-purpose curve derived from annually averaged atmospheric (super 14) CO (sub 2) values in the northernmost northern hemisphere (NNH, 30 degrees -90 degrees N).
Journal ArticleDOI

An air pollution model for use in epidemiological studies: evaluation with measured levels of nitrogen dioxide and benzene.

TL;DR: The results indicate that the OSPM used with the presented methods for generation of input data might be useful in assessing long-term exposure to air pollutants in epidemiological studies.
