Journal ArticleDOI

Template-Free Hierarchical Self-Assembly of Iron Diselenide Nanoparticles into Mesoscale Hedgehogs

TL;DR: These results demonstrate that the self-assembly of NPs with non-biological surface ligands and without any biological templates results in morphogenesis of inorganic superstructures with complexity comparable to that of biological assemblies, for instance mimivirus.
Journal ArticleDOI

Assembled Plasmonic Asymmetric Heterodimers with Tailorable Chiroptical Response

TL;DR: The experimental results revealed that plasmonic CD responses were in the region from 520 to 750 nm, which was in agreement with the theoretical simulation, and showed that the CD band could be regulated by controlling the gaps between adjacent NCs and altering the building blocks of the assemblies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Development of a monoclonal antibody-based sandwich ELISA for the detection of ovalbumin in foods

TL;DR: Sample analysis verified that the produced anti-OVA mAb and the developed ELISA may provide a valuable tool for the sensitive determination of OVA in processed foods and for future studies on the mechanism of how OVA functions in anaphylaxis.
Journal ArticleDOI

A self-assembled chiral-aptasensor for ATP activity detection

TL;DR: It is shown that a DNA zip-fastener structure self-assembled chiral-aptasensor based on gold nanoparticle heterodimers provided an outstanding capability to quantify adenosine-5'-triphosphate (ATP) by addition and that this chiroplasmonic sensor is a promising approach for investigating biogenic biomolecules inside cells and living organisms and for assessing their biological activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Development of a monoclonal antibody-based ELISA to detect Escherichia coli O157:H7

TL;DR: A pair of monoclonal antibodies from 10 murine hybridomas secreting Escherichia coli O157:H7 were selected for the development of the sandwich ELISA and showed good linearity and sensitivity in the range of 105–108 cfu/mL and with 8-h enrichment of bacteria.
