Estimating the amino acid composition in milled rice by near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS) equations to predict the amino acid and nitrogen content of milled rice powder.
Journal ArticleDOI

Correlation analysis of mineral element contents and quality traits in milled rice (Oryza stavia L.)

TL;DR: The relationships among potassium (K), calcium (Ca), sodium (Na), magnesium (Mg), iron (Fe), zinc (Zn), copper (Cu), and manganese (Mn) contents in milled rice and cooking quality traits showed that gel consistency (GC) was significantly correlated with K, Cu, and Mn contents of rice.
Journal ArticleDOI

Distribution of phytic acid and mineral elements in three indica rice ( Oryza sativa L.) cultivars

TL;DR: In this article, three rice cultivars with different grain shapes were selected to determine the milling characteristics and distribution of phytic acid (PA) and six mineral elements including magnesium (Mg), calcium (Ca), manganese (Mn), iron (Fe), zinc (Zn), and selenium (Se).
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of hemicellulose, cellulose and lignin content using visible and near infrared spectroscopy in Miscanthus sinensis

TL;DR: The feasibility of using visible and near infrared spectroscopy to rapidly quantify hemicellulose, cellulose and lignin in M. sinensis was investigated and three determination models were eventually built by PLS, LS-SVM and ANN based on the characteristic wavelengths.
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of Leaf Water Content by Visible and Near-Infrared Spectrometry and Multivariate Calibration in Miscanthus.

TL;DR: The results demonstrated that visible and near-infrared (VIS/NIR) spectroscopy combined with RBF_LSSVR or RBF-NN is a useful, non-destructive tool for determinations of the leaf water content in Miscanthus, and thus very helpful for development of drought-resistant varieties inmiscanthus.
