A test of climate, sun, and culture relationships from an 1810-year Chinese cave record.
Pingzhong Zhang,Hai Cheng,R. Lawrence Edwards,Fahu Chen,Yongjin Wang,Xunlin Yang,Jian Liu,Ming Tan,Xianfeng Wang,Jinghua Liu,Chunlei An,Zhibo Dai,Jing Zhou,Dezhong Zhang,Jihong Jia,Liya Jin,Kathleen R. Johnson +16 more
TL;DR: The sign of the correlation between the AM and temperature switches around 1960 is suggested, suggesting that anthropogenic forcing superseded natural forcing as the major driver of AM changes in the late 20th century.
Snow Nitrate Isotopes in Central Antarctica Record the Prolonged Period of Stratospheric Ozone Depletion From ∼1960 to 2000
Guitao Shi,Ye-ming Hu,Hongmei Ma,Su Jiang,Zhenlou Chen,Zhen-Zhong Hu,Chunlei An,Bo Sun,Meredith G. Hastings +8 more
TL;DR: In this article , 60-year records of NO3− and its isotopic composition (δ15N, δ18O, and Δ17O) in snow in central Antarctica, Dome A, were presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spatial Variations of Fabric and Microstructure of Blue Ice Cores at the Shear Margin of Dalk Glacier, Antarctica
TL;DR: In this paper , twenty-three one-meter-long ice cores from blue ice areas at the shear margin of the Dalk Glacier, Antarctica, were analyzed using a G50 fabric analyzer, showing that the shallow ice cores in this region present a cluster fabric as a consequence of shear stress.
The Dominant Role of Brewer‐Dobson Circulation on 17O‐Excess Variations in Snow Pits at Dome A, Antarctica
Hongxi Pang,Peng Zhang,Shuang-Ye Wu,Jean Jouzel,Hans Christian Steen-Larsen,Ke Liu,Wangbin Zhang,Jinhai Yu,Chunlei An,Deliang Chen,Shugui Hou +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper , high-resolution 17O-excess records from two snow pits at Dome A, the highest point of the Antarctic ice sheet, were used to reconstruct stratosphere-troposphere exchange (STE).
Journal ArticleDOI
A high-resolution refractory black carbon (rBC) record since 1932 deduced from the Chongce ice core, Tibetan plateau
Ke Liu,Chaoyang Wang,Shugui Hou,Shuang-Ye Wu,Hongxi Pang,Wangbin Zhang,Yetang Wang,Margit Schwikowski,Theo M. Jenk,Xiang Zou,Jinhai Yu,Chunlei An,Jing Song +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors established a record of the rBC concentration spanning 1932-2013 from an ice core retrieved from the Chongce ice cap of the West Kunlun Mountains in the western Tibetan Plateau.
