Journal ArticleDOI

MHC class II sequences of susceptibility and protection in Mexicans with autoimmune hepatitis

TL;DR: The possible mechanism of HLA association is due to "shared epitopes", since DRB 1*0404, and those found in other populations namely, DRB1*0401, *0405 and *0301 share almost the same sequence at position 67-72 (LLEQRR, R or K at 71).
Journal ArticleDOI

Interactions of HLA-B(*)4801 with peptide and CD8

TL;DR: Despite the low affinity of B*4801 for CD8 alpha, alloreactive T-cells that recognize B* 4801 molecules expressed by the 221 transfectant are inhibited by anti-CD8 monoclonal antibodies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mediterranean and Amerindian MHC class II alleles are associated with multiple sclerosis in Mexicans.

TL;DR: Human leukocyte antigen typing was performed in Mexicans Mestizos with multiple sclerosis to define the HLA class II alleles associated with the disease in this population.
