Journal ArticleDOI

Nonradicals induced degradation of organic pollutants by peroxydisulfate (PDS) and peroxymonosulfate (PMS): Recent advances and perspective

TL;DR: In this review, nonradical pathways and reaction mechanisms for oxidation of various organic pollutants by PDS and peroxymonosulfate are overviewed and nonradical based persulfate activation mechanisms by metal oxides and carbon materials are updated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Deep mineralization of bisphenol A by catalytic peroxymonosulfate activation with nano CuO/Fe3O4 with strong Cu-Fe interaction

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of Cu-Fe interaction on catalytic performance of these bimetal oxides was investigated by pyrolysis of copper-hexacyanoferrate(III) at 600 ǫ°C for 1 1/h and the as-prepared CuO/Fe3O4 as a catalyst presented much stronger reactivity than CuO and Fe3O 4 for peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation and bisphenol A (BPA) degradation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Homogeneous catalytic activation of peroxymonosulfate and heterogeneous reductive regeneration of Co2+ by MoS2: The pivotal role of pH.

TL;DR: New insight is gained into the enhancement effect of MoS2 in the meal ions/PMS system, and this work provides a high performance wastewater treatment process of Co(II)/PMS at low concentrated Co2+.
Journal ArticleDOI

Insights into bromate reduction by Fe(II): Multiple radicals generation and carbamazepine oxidation

TL;DR: In this paper, the fate of oxygen and bromine atoms in BrO3− by Fe(II) ions was investigated under various conditions via electron spin resonance (ESR), laser flash photolysis (LFP), probe of phenol and quenching experiments.
Journal ArticleDOI
