Nonradicals induced degradation of organic pollutants by peroxydisulfate (PDS) and peroxymonosulfate (PMS): Recent advances and perspective
TL;DR: In this review, nonradical pathways and reaction mechanisms for oxidation of various organic pollutants by PDS and peroxymonosulfate are overviewed and nonradical based persulfate activation mechanisms by metal oxides and carbon materials are updated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ultrasound-assisted hydrolysis and gas chromatography–mass spectrometric determination of phenolic compounds in cranberry products
Chengjun Wang,Yuegang Zuo +1 more
TL;DR: An ultrasound-assisted hydrolysis and gas chromatography-mass spectrometric (GC-MS) method has been developed for determination of phenolics in cranberry products and the application of ultrasonication significantly accelerated the acidic hydrolysation of the conjugated phenolics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Simultaneous determination of nitrite and nitrate in dew, rain, snow and lake water samples by ion-pair high-performance liquid chromatography
TL;DR: High levels of nitrite and nitrate observed in dew water droplets may constitute an important source of hydroxyl radicals in the sunny early morning.
Journal ArticleDOI
Simultaneous determination of creatinine and uric acid in human urine by high-performance liquid chromatography.
TL;DR: This method has been successfully applied to estimating of creatinine and uric acid in human urine and provides a simple, rapid separation and sensitive detection for the species of interest in 10 min with UV detection at 205 nm.

Advances on transition metal oxides catalysts for formaldehyde oxidation: A review
Abubakar Yusuf,Colin E. Snape,Jun He,Honghui Xu,Chaojie Liu,Ming Zhao,George Chen,Bencan Tang,Chengjun Wang,Jiawei Wang,Sailesh N. Behera +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors highlight recent advances in the development of transition metal-based catalysts for formaldehyde oxidation, particularly the enhancement of their catalytic activity for low-temperature oxidation, such as morphology and tunnel structures, synthesis methods, specific surface area, amount and type of active surface oxygen species, oxidation state, and density of active sites.
