Journal ArticleDOI

Central ring structure identified in one of the world's best-preserved impact craters

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used sonobuoys to study the morphology and sedimentary fill of the El'gygygytgyn crater (Chukotka, northeastern Siberia; diameter 18 km) and reveal a five-layer model: a water layer, two lacustrine sedimentary units, and a lower layer of brecciated bedrock.
Journal ArticleDOI

Seismic investigation of the El'gygytgyn impact crater lake (Central Chukotka, NE Siberia): preliminary results

TL;DR: A single-channel seismic survey was carried out on an expedition to the El'gygygytgyn crater lake in 2000, in which both high resolution and deep penetration data were acquired as discussed by the authors.
