Complications of otoplasty: a literature review
TL;DR: Recommendations for future studies include consistent use of operative technique or at least differentiate between the used surgical techniques when presenting complication rates, inclusion of only patients with bilateral primary procedures, considering each operated ear as an independent variable when calculating complication incidence and a minimum follow-up period of 2 years.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fistula incidence and predictors of fistula occurrence after cleft palate repair: two-stage closure versus one-stage closure.
TL;DR: It is suggested that a two-stage closure has a higher rate of fistula formation when compared with a one-stageclosure, and cleft width at the time of cleft palate repair plays a crucial role in the development of fistulas.
