Feedback on the Surveillance 8 challenge: Vibration-based diagnosis of a Safran aircraft engine
Jérôme Antoni,Julien Griffaton,Hugo André,Luis David Avendaño-Valencia,Frédéric Bonnardot,O. Cardona-Morales,Germán Castellanos-Domínguez,Alessandro Paolo Daga,Quentin Leclere,Cristián Molina Vicuña,David Quezada Acuña,Agusmian Partogi Ompusunggu,Edgar F. Sierra-Alonso +12 more
TL;DR: The content and outcomes of the Safran contest organized during the International Conference Surveillance 8, October 20–21, 2015, at the Roanne Institute of Technology, France, are presented, giving a picture of the current state of the art in vibration-based diagnosis of rolling-element bearings in nonstationary operating conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Two methods for modeling vibrations of planetary gearboxes including faults: Comparison and validation
J. Parra,Cristián Molina Vicuña +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, two different models are considered: phenomenological model, which is an analytical-mathematical formulation based on observation, and lumped-parameter model based on the solution of the equations of motion of the system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of operating conditions on the Acoustic Emissions (AE) from planetary gearboxes
TL;DR: In this article, the results of experiments carried out on a non-faulty planetary gearbox test bench are presented, because of its usual application on machines subjected to variable operating conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Theoretical frequency analysis of vibrations from planetary gearboxes
TL;DR: In this article, a phenomenological model describing the vibrations generated on a single-stage planetary gearbox when measured with a sensor mounted on the outer part of the ring gear is developed in time domain.
Journal ArticleDOI
A method for reduction of Acoustic Emission (AE) data with application in machine failure detection and diagnosis
TL;DR: The proposed method consist in the construction of a synthetic, unevenly sampled signal which envelopes the AE bursts present on the raw AE signal in a triangular shape, which is called TriSignal and permits the estimation of most scalar quantities typically used for failure detection.
