Data analytic methods for latent partially ordered classification models
TL;DR: A general framework is presented for data analysis of latent finite partially ordered classification models and it is demonstrated that sequential analytic methods can dramatically reduce the amount of testing that is needed to make accurate classifications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diagnostic and Prognostic Value of Human Prion Detection in Cerebrospinal Fluid
Aaron Foutz,Brian S. Appleby,Clive R. Hamlin,Xiaoqin Liu,Sheng Yang,Yvonne Cohen,Wei Chen,Janis Blevins,Cameron Fausett,Han Wang,Pierluigi Gambetti,Shulin Na Zhang,Andrew G. Hughson,Curtis Tatsuoka,Lawrence B. Schonberger,Mark L. Cohen,Byron Caughey,Jiri G. Safar +17 more
TL;DR: The objective of this study was to investigate the diagnostic performance of the RT‐QuIC prion test in the broad phenotypic spectrum of prion diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rapidly progressive Alzheimer's disease features distinct structures of amyloid-β.
Mark L. Cohen,Chae Kim,Tracy Haldiman,Mohamed ElHag,Prachi Mehndiratta,Termsarasab Pichet,Frances M. Lissemore,Michelle Shea,Yvonne Cohen,Wei Chen,Janis Blevins,Brian S. Appleby,Krystyna Surewicz,Witold K. Surewicz,Martha Sajatovic,Curtis Tatsuoka,Shulin Na Zhang,Ping Mayo,Mariusz Butkiewicz,Jonathan L. Haines,Alan J. Lerner,Jiri G. Safar +21 more
TL;DR: Alzheimer's disease exhibits a wide spectrum of amyloid-β42 structural states and imply the existence of prion-like conformational strains, suggesting different conformers may play an important role in the pathogenesis of distinct Alzheimer's disease phenotypes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Patterns of Diagnosed Mathematical Content and Process Skills in TIMSS-R Across a Sample of 20 Countries
TL;DR: Interestingly, success in geometry was found to be highly associated with logical reasoning and other important mathematical thinking skills across the sampled countries.
Journal ArticleDOI
Skin α-Synuclein Aggregation Seeding Activity as a Novel Biomarker for Parkinson Disease
Zerui Wang,Katelyn Becker,Vincenzo Donadio,Sandra L. Siedlak,Jue Yuan,Masih Rezaee,Alex Incensi,Anastasia Kuzkina,Christina D. Orrù,Curtis Tatsuoka,Rocco Liguori,Steven A. Gunzler,Byron Caughey,Maria E. Jimenez-Capdeville,Xiongwei Zhu,Kathrin Doppler,Li Cui,Shu G. Chen,Jiyan Ma,Wen-Quan Zou +19 more
TL;DR: Skin αSynP has aggregation seeding activity in patients with PD and non-PD synucleinopathies and may be a biomarker for antemortem diagnosis of PD and other synucle inopathies.
