Procedural Experience for Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement and Relation to Outcomes: The STS/ACC TVT Registry.
John D. Carroll,Sreekanth Vemulapalli,Dadi Dai,Roland A. Matsouaka,Eugene H. Blackstone,Fred H. Edwards,Frederick A. Masoudi,Michael J. Mack,Eric D. Peterson,David R. Holmes,John S. Rumsfeld,E. Murat Tuzcu,Frederick L. Grover +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the association of hospital TAVR volume and patient outcomes for transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) by using data from 42,988 commercial procedures conducted at 395 hospitals submitting to the Transcatheter Valve Therapy Registry from 2011 through 2015.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gaps in referral to cardiac rehabilitation of patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention in the United States.
Krishna G. Aragam,Dadi Dai,Megan L. Neely,Deepak L. Bhatt,Matthew T. Roe,John S. Rumsfeld,Hitinder S. Gurm +6 more
TL;DR: Findings highlight the potential need for hospital-level interventions to improve cardiac rehabilitation referral rates after PCI and suggest site-specific variation in referral rates is significant and is unexplained by insurance coverage.
Journal ArticleDOI
Institutional Experience With Transcatheter Mitral Valve Repair and Clinical Outcomes: Insights From the TVT Registry
Adnan K. Chhatriwalla,Sreekanth Vemulapalli,David R. Holmes,Dadi Dai,Zhuokai Li,Gorav Ailawadi,Donald D. Glower,Saibal Kar,Michael J. Mack,Jennifer A. Rymer,Andrzej S. Kosinski,Paul Sorajja +11 more
TL;DR: For transcatheter mitral valve repair with the MitraClip, increasing institutional experience was associated with improvements in procedural success, procedure time, and procedural complications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Impact of Ejection Fraction and Aortic Valve Gradient on Outcomes of Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement.
Suzanne J. Baron,Suzanne V. Arnold,Howard C. Herrmann,David R. Holmes,Wilson Y. Szeto,Keith B. Allen,Adnan K. Chhatriwalla,Sreekaanth Vemulapali,Sean M. O'Brien,Dadi Dai,David J. Cohen +10 more
TL;DR: In this series of real-world patients undergoing TAVR, low AVG, but not LV dysfunction, was associated with higher rates of mortality and recurrent heart failure and it is suggested that AVG should be considered when evaluating the risks and benefits of T AVR for individual patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Outcomes Following Urgent/Emergent Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement: Insights From the STS/ACC TVT Registry.
Dhaval Kolte,Sahil Khera,Sreekanth Vemulapalli,Dadi Dai,Stephan Heo,Andrew M. Goldsweig,Herbert D. Aronow,Sammy Elmariah,Ignacio Inglessis,Igor F. Palacios,Vinod H. Thourani,Barry L. Sharaf,Paul C. Gordon,J. Dawn Abbott +13 more
TL;DR: In patients undergoing urgent/emergent TAVR, non-femoral access and cardiopulmonary bypass were associated with increased risk, whereas use of balloon-expandable valve was associated with decreased risk of 30-day and 1-year mortality.
