P06 Functional MDM2 ablation in HK1.ras/fos-Δ5PTEN transgenic mice results in an elevated, p53-mediated block of carcinogenesis that depends upon p53 expression

TL;DR: In this paper , the efficacy of functional MDM2 knockout to protect p53 levels was shown to inhibit benign papilloma formation in HK1.ras transgenic mice, which was specific to p53 expression, as all HK 1.ras/fos-Δ5PTENflx/p53 flx/flx tumours rapidly progressed to malignancy.
Journal ArticleDOI

The optimal age of vaccination against dengue in Brazil based on serotype-specific forces of infection derived from serological data.

TL;DR: The optimal vaccination age for Dengvaxia is determined for any number and combination of the four distinct dengue virus serotypes DENv1-4 and the assumptions relating to antibody dependent enhancement and permanent cross-immunity after two heterologous infections are adapted.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sequential induction of Hsp25 and proliferating cell nuclear antigen in the kidney after burn.

TL;DR: The results from this study suggest that a sizeable burn may trigger sequential activation of signaling events involved in the early pathogenesis and subsequent recovery of the kidney after burn.
Journal ArticleDOI

Poverty and Frailty Are Not Related to Each Other with Regards to Outcomes in Middle Aged and Older Patients with Burn Injuries.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors determined the relationship between frailty and poverty in burn patients >50 years-old, and their association with patient outcomes, including mortality, length of stay (LOS), and disposition location.
Journal ArticleDOI

Does Socioeconomic Status or Methamphetamine use Impact Discharge Opioid Requirements in Burn Injured Patients?

TL;DR: Examination of burn patients admitted to an ABA verified burn center to examine how both SES and/or MA use in burn patients impacted discharge opioid requirements found SES was not associated with discharge opioid use or pain scores.
