Journal ArticleDOI

Special problems in burns.

TL;DR: This resource set is useful in a number of traumatic, infectious, and medical conditions as well and many burn patients have sustained simultaneous non-burn trauma which will be managed in burn programs.
Journal ArticleDOI

A delay differential equation mathematical model for the control of the hormonal system of the hypothalamus, the pituitary and the testis in man

TL;DR: In this article, a delay differential equation mathematical model was proposed for the regulation of testosterone by luteinizing hormone and release hormone in the human body, which has four possible equilibria, but only one unique equilibrium where all three hormones are present.
Journal ArticleDOI

Recurrent epidemic cycles in an infectious disease model with a time delay in loss of vaccine immunity

TL;DR: In this article, an SIRS epidemiological model with vaccination is presented and the model is described and equilibrium and stability results are shown, showing that although Hopf bifurcation is theoretically possible for realistic parameter values the simulations approach the unique endemic equilibrium.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gap analysis of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in burn patients: a review.

TL;DR: Dosing techniques must be adapted based on burn injury-related changes in PK/PD parameters in order to ensure drug efficacy and refine dosing techniques in burns and consequently improve patient outcomes.
