Synthesis and structural characterization of barium complexes containing the bulky amino-siloxide hybrid ligand −OSi(tBu)2((CH2)3NMe2)

TL;DR: The bulky amino-siloxide hybrid ligand −OSi(tBu)2((CH2)3NMe2) allows isolation of dinuclear, hydrocarbon-soluble barium complexes as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Trivalent lanthanide–alkene complexes: Crystallographic and NMR evidence for coordination of tethered alkenes in the solid state and solution

TL;DR: The reaction of 2,6-diallyl-4-methylphenol (H-DALP) and 2,allyl 4-6-dimethylphenol(H-MALP) with Ln[N(SiMe 3 ) 2 ] 3 affords dimeric structures in non-coordinating solvents with rapid bridge-terminal aryloxide exchange taking place above about 275-295 K for all DALP complexes except erbium as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Variable coordination of carbazolyl-bis(tetrazole) ligands in lanthanide chemistry

TL;DR: The synthesis of the protioligand 1,8-bis(2'-isopropyltetrazo-5'-yl)-3,6-di-tert-butylcarbazole, HCzTiPr2, is described, with products displaying a variety of different bonding modes for the Cz TiPr- ligand as revealed by X-ray crystallographic studies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Supersize Cp! Tetrabenzo[a,c,g,i]fluorenyl complexes of yttrium

TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis of tetrabenzo[a,c,g,i]fluorenyl (Tbf) yttrium dialkyl complexes by direct protonolysis of the trisalkyl complex, Y(CH2SiMe3)3(THF)2, are reported.
