Spread of a SARS-CoV-2 variant through Europe in the summer of 2020.
Emma B. Hodcroft,Emma B. Hodcroft,Emma B. Hodcroft,Moira Zuber,Sarah Nadeau,Sarah Nadeau,Timothy G. Vaughan,Timothy G. Vaughan,Katharine H.D. Crawford,Katharine H.D. Crawford,Christian L. Althaus,Martina L. Reichmuth,John E. Bowen,Alexandra C. Walls,Davide Corti,Jesse D. Bloom,Jesse D. Bloom,Jesse D. Bloom,David Veesler,David Mateo,Alberto Hernando,Iñaki Comas,Fernando González-Candelas,Tanja Stadler,Tanja Stadler,Richard A. Neher,Richard A. Neher +26 more
TL;DR: A novel SARS-CoV-2 variant, 20E (EU1) that emerged in Spain in early summer, and subsequently spread across Europe is reported in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI
Critical Landau Velocity in Helium Nanodroplets
Nils Benedict Brauer,Szymon Smolarek,Evgeny Loginov,David Mateo,Alberto Hernando,Martí Pi,Manuel Barranco,Wybren Jan Buma,Marcel Drabbels +8 more
TL;DR: Measurements reveal the existence of a critical velocity in helium systems, even for nanodroplets consisting of only a thousand helium atoms, and theoretical simulations based on a time-dependent density functional description of the helium confirm and further elucidate this experimental finding.
Journal ArticleDOI
Density functional theory of doped superfluid liquid helium and nanodroplets
Francesco Ancilotto,Manuel Barranco,François Coppens,Jussi Eloranta,Nadine Halberstadt,Alberto Hernando,David Mateo,Martí Pi +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a comprehensive review of the literature on density function theory for liquid helium and droplets is presented, and a comprehensive presentation of actual implementations of helium DFT is given, which have not been discussed in individual articles or are scattered in the existing literature.
Journal ArticleDOI
Density Functional Theory of doped superfluid liquid helium and nanodroplets
Francesco Ancilotto,Manuel Barranco,François Coppens,Jussi Eloranta,Nadine Halberstadt,Alberto Hernando,David Mateo,Martí Pi +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors summarize the activity carried out in this field within the DFT framework since the publication of the previous review article on this subject and present a comprehensive presentation of the actual implementations of helium DFT, which have not been discussed in individual articles or are scattered in the existing literature.
Journal ArticleDOI
Swarm-Enabling Technology for Multi-Robot Systems
Mohammadreza Chamanbaz,David Mateo,Brandon M. Zoss,Grgur Tokić,Erik Wilhelm,Roland Bouffanais,Yue,K P Dick +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a modular and transferable software toolbox with a hardware suite composed of a collection of low-cost and off-the-shelf components is presented to enable the assembly and the study of swarms in a range of general-purpose robotic systems.
