Journal ArticleDOI

Leveraging the ALICE/L3 cavern for long-lived particle searches

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the potential new physics reach of the ALICE particle detector with respect to other long-lived particle proposals, and provided that a total integrated luminosity of approximately $100m could be delivered to interaction point 2.
Journal ArticleDOI

New Predictions for Λ b → Λ c Semileptonic Decays and Tests of Heavy Quark Symmetry

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors derived a significantly more precise standard model prediction for the ratio B(Λ{b}→Λ_{c}τν[over ¯])/B(ξb} → ξcμν[ over ¯]) than prior results, and found the expansion in Λ_{QCD}/m{c} well behaved.
Journal ArticleDOI

Precise predictions for Λ b →Λ c semileptonic decays

TL;DR: In this article, Bernlochner et al. obtained model independent results for all possible b→c?ν four-Fermi interactions beyond the Standard Model, including nonzero charged lepton masses and terms up to order αsΛQCD/mc,b and ΛqCD2/mc2 in the heavy quark effective theory.
