Effect of alkaline earth metal doping on thermal, optical, magnetic and dielectric properties of BiFeO3 nanoparticles

TL;DR: In this paper, the properties of pure-phase BFO nanoparticles with alkaline earth metals (Ba, Sr and Ca) have been discussed and their thermal, optical, dielectric and magnetic properties are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sub-zero treatments of AISI D2 steel: Part I. Microstructure and hardness

TL;DR: In this paper, microstructure, hardness and wear behavior of AISI D2 steel subjected to varied sub-zero treatments have been examined with reference to conventional heat treatment, and the obtained results infer that retained austenite content is reduced by cold treatment, but is almost completely eliminated by both shallow and deep cryogenic treatments.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of martensite morphology on the work-hardening behavior of high strength ferrite–martensite dual-phase steel

TL;DR: In this article, the work-hardening behavior of high-strength ferrite-martensite dual-phase steel was investigated by using a modified Crussard-Jaoul technique.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of varied cryotreatment on the wear behavior of AISI D2 steel

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of wear tests has been carried out on AISI D2 steel samples subjected to cryotreatment at 77 K for different durations, and the wear rates at different loads and sliding velocities, morphologies of the worn-out surfaces and the characteristics of the wear debris have been systematically examined to assess the possible critical duration of Cryotreatment to achieve the best wear resistance property.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Deep Cryogenic Treatment on the Carbide Precipitation and Tribological Behavior of D2 Steel

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of deep cryogenic processing in between quenching and tempering (QCT) on the carbide precipitation and the tribological behavior of a commercial AISI D2 steel has been examined.
